Unlike Dual Sense, you can use multiple power delivery methods on Xbox Series X/S, including Xbox One Play and Charge Kit. However, due to the new pad’s slightly different profile, not all Xbox One controller batteries can be charged through Xbox One Play and Charge Kit.

How to charge the Xbox Series X and Series S controller

When you get your hands on Xbox Series X and S controller for the time, you will be happy to see the inclusion of a USB-C port. This might make you think that this USC-C port is added to charge you the next-gen controller.  Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Similar to Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamepads, the revised controller embraces AA batteries for power.

There are tons of people who want to get a rechargeable battery pack for the Xbox Series X|S controller. However, there aren’t any new rechargeable batteries specifically for the new pad at the moment. Fortunately, we have a very good solution to this problem.

To charge Xbox Series X and S controller, you can use the same Play & Charge Kit that was specifically designed for the Xbox One Gamepad. The controller’s battery can be charged through its built-in-USB C port and works just as always.

Sadly, third party batteries, particularly those that need users to install a new back cover, are most likely to not work with the revised controller. The Xbox Series X and S controller’s design is a little bit different from Xbox One Controller that the back covers are not compatible.

If you want us to suggest for the best battery and charging experience on Xbox then using Xbox Rechargeable Battery with USB-C for its long-lasting battery life is highly recommended.

That’s everything you need to know about how to charge Xbox Series X and S controller. While here, you can read other stuff about Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. Turning on HDRrecording video clips, and taking screenshots might be something that you need to read about.
