Ramattra is here in Overwatch 2 and this means, we have to plan out the best counters and the heroes that work best with his abilities this season. As you know, Ramattra is a Tank hero who has two forms – the Omnic form where he uses a staff, and his Nemesis form where he turns into a damage-taking and damage-dealing beast. While the character has just been released at the time of writing, here are our speculations about the best team combos of heroes to have with Ramattra in Overwatch 2. Best Team Combos with Ramattra in Overwatch 2
As of now, here are our speculations of the combos of heroes that work best when paired with Ramattra in OW2. They are listed in no particular order.

This team combo has a sniper, close-ranged DPS hero as well as the deadly Moira and Baptiste who play a DPS role as well as a healer. With Baptiste’s immortality field, Ramattra’s Annihilation ultimate as well as the Ravenous Vortex, enemies in a crowd can be in severe danger.

The previous team combos don’t have a flying hero but in this one, we have Pharah for it. Pharah will take over the overhead attacks, Reaper will focus on ground attacks, Lucio gives the team a speed boost and Zenyatta will boost the team with Orb of Harmony, Orb of Discord and of course, Transcendence.

In this combo, we have Soldier:76 who deals insane damage in good hands and also has an ability to heal the team near him. Sojourn can use her Disruptor shot and Ramattra can take over from there. Lucio will provide speed and Kiriko will land headshots from a distance. Moreover, the ultimates of Lucio and Kiriko are bound to boost this powerful team.

Since Ramattra’s Ravenous Vortex slows down enemies, Mei’s Endothermic Blaster and Blizzard can give it even more of a boost, as Moira, Sojourn and Lucio take enemies down. Moreover, her Ice Wall can provide double the block to enemies aside from Ramattra’s Barrier at a different location.

In most matches, you can’t go wrong with a good Genji. He can take out lone enemies or catch them off-guard. Meanwhile, Sojourn/Soldier:76 can go in all guns blazing. Lucio can be the healer nearby while Ana can provide Nano boost. Additionally, Ana’s Sleep Dart can come in handy before Ramattra comes in and pummels them.
Team H

Here, we have Genji for swift close-ranged attacks along with Widowmaker who will take out enemies from a distance. Mercy will be healing Ramattra mainly, while also switching to other players as and when needed. Her damage boost to Ramattra can be a game-changer at the right time.

Note: The skill set of the player (especially with Ramattra), frequency and timing of switching from his Omnic form to Nemesis form, cooldown management as well as the skills of the team you have will make all the difference.
He is more of a ground hero because his Barrier shield will always need a platform, unlike Sigma who can place it at an angle while it is pointed at the sky. When he’s in his Omnic form, he can create a Ravenous Vortex that makes enemies slower and pulls them downward. This will be useful if a Hanzo or Genji player is trying to get away by climbing walls. With this, you can take down Pharmercy or Echo better but only if they are nearer to the ground. If they are very high up, they will be beyond the range of the vortex.
