The update version 1.0 has introduced two brand new Factions in Last Epoch – Circle of Fortune and Merchant’s Guild. It should be noted that both of these factions provide you with different bonuses. This makes it a no-brainer that you should join anyone between the Circle of Fortune and the Merchant’s Guild. The only trouble is which faction should you choose. Because as I said, both of them offer you unique advantages. So joining any particular faction would mean missing out on other factions’ rewards.
To help you figure this one out, we will tell which faction you should join between the Circle of Fortune and Merchant’s Guild in the Last Epoch. We will basically compare what advantages they provide and on the basis of that, you can make a quick decision. So let’s get started.
Which Faction is Better? – Circle of Fortune or Merchant’s Guild?
First of all, let’s discuss how joining the Circle of Fortune can help you in Last Epoch. Whoever joins this faction gets an enhanced luck boost. Being in the Circle of Fortune means getting more loot after defeating an enemy. Not only that, but you can also seek Prophecies that help majorly in finding Rare and Legendary Gear, etc.
Next, those who are planning to join the Merchant’s Guild will have access to special trading privileges. Members of this faction have access to the Bazaar where they can Sell and Purchase items of their choice. Moreover, this also unlocks the feature that allows you to trade with other players on the server.
If you ask me, I would say that both of these factions are better in different spaces. For example, if you want to emphasize more on offline gameplay, then there’s no chance you should join the Merchant’s Guild. That doesn’t mean that the Circle of Fortune becomes irrelevant in Online Mode. But it depends on which side you like the most, farming items through loot or Trading equipment from other players.
Should you Join Circle of Fortune or Merchant’s Guild in Last Epoch?
I would suggest you join the Circle of Fortune in Last Epoch, doesn’t matter if you are playing Online or Offline. The simple reason is that it increases your ability to farm more resources and items. While this still requires a little grinding but that’s what this game is all about, right? On the other hand, if you join the Merchant’s Guild, you will have to wait until you find a player who has what you need.
One thing that you should know is that you can leave the faction at any time you want. Once you leave, you can go over and talk to the other faction’s leader to join their faction. However, keep in mind that once you leave, you won’t be able to claim your former faction’s benefits. You will be completely locked out. Moreover, your Faction Ranking will also reset, so think twice before leaving a faction.
In the end, it comes down to your final preference. If you think you can be part of the Last Epoch community and trade for better items, then the Merchant’s Guild will accept you with open arms. And if you think that you’d want to go the other way around and farm resources, then the Circle of Fortune is your best bet.
We hope you will be able to make a clear and sensible decision now. Just wait until you enter the Divine Era in Chapter 9 and reach Maj’elka City. There, you can meet an NPC called Zerrick and make your final decision to join the faction you want.
Now that you know which faction to join between Circle of Fortune and Merchant’s Guild in Last Epoch, ensure to make the most of this opportunity. For more information like how to Salvage Items or Respec Passive Skills, check out our other guides on them.
