The remake of the Super Mario RPG is finally out on Nintendo Switch with your favorite characters. This includes Bowser, Princess Peach, Geno, Mallow, and Mario. Since you can switch to these characters in your party, you must ensure you have the best armor for them. You must equip the best offensive and defensive gear depending on their stats.

What is the Best Armor in Super Mario RPG?

The Super Suit is the best armor in Super Mario RPG remake for all the characters in your party. It is the most powerful armor in terms of offense and defense. You can get the Super Suit by visiting Mr.Chow after performing 100 Super Jumps consecutively. You can find Mr.Chow located in Monstro Town.

So, here are all the effects and stat boosts of Super Suit:

  • Physical Attack: 50+
  • Defense: 50+
  • Magic Attack: 50+
  • Magic Defense: 50+
  • Speed: 30+
  • Removes all status effects and elemental attacks from enemies when equipped.

However, you cannot use Super Suit for all the characters in your party. So, you might need to try out alternate armor for other characters.

Best Armor for All Characters in Super Mario RPG

Best Armor for Mario

If you are looking for a defensive build, the Hero Shirt is the best armor for Mario. You can get the Hero Shirt for 100 coins after you have defeated the Magikoopa. Once defeated, head to the Bowser’s Keep shop to buy this piece of equipment.

So, here are all the stat boosts of the Hero Shirt:

  • Defense: 48+
  • Magic Defense: 24+

Best Armor for Bowser

The Heal Shell is our recommended armor for Bowser as it offers the highest Defense stats after Super Suit. So, you can use it for Bowser if another character has currently equipped it. You can buy the Heal Shell for 100 coins at the Bowser’s Keep from Croco. But to unlock the Keep, you need to defeat the Magikoopa boss.

So, here are all the stat boosts offered by Heal Shell:

  • Defense: 24+
  • Magic Defense: 12+

Alternatively, you can also get the Work Pants armor if you can’t get the above one. You can buy the Work Pants armor at Moleville shop for a cheaper price of 22 Coins.

Best Armor for Geno

The Star Cape is the most suitable armor for Geno as it offers the highest magic and physical defense. You can get the Star Cape armor by purchasing it for 100 coins at Bowser’s Keep from Croco.

So, here are all the stat boosts of the Star Cape armor:

  • Defense: 36+
  • Magic Defense: 18+

Best Armor for Princess Peach

The Lazy Shell Armor is the strongest armor for Peach as it offers the highest offensive stats. You can get this equipment by giving the Gardener a seed and Fertilizer at the Rose Town. You can find him in the northeast part of Rose Town.

  • Attack: +90

Best Armor for Mallow

The Prince Pants is the most powerful armor for Mallow due to their high defense stats. You can buy it from Croco at the Bowser’s Keep shop for 100 coins. But note to defeat Magikoopa before you head to that location.
