If you choose to stand your ground, then this guide is made just for you.

In Resident Evil 4 Remake, players can beat the Verdugo by freezing it with the Nitrogen Pipes and then inflicting heavy damage. Once it is frozen, use melee attacks first and then use heavy weapons like the Shotgun or the Rocket Launcher. Melee attacks will drop it to the ground but it will get up right away. So use the small window to unleash hell on it. Grenades work wonders as well on this enemy.

Since the Verdugo only takes damage after being frozen, it is redundant to try and parry its attacks. Make sure you start running away right before it unfreezes. Then, locate the next nitrogen pipe and repeat the process. After a couple of times, Verdugo will die and drop an artifact.

Before the fight starts, the Verdugo will attack you from the ceiling or from under the floors with its tail. These can deplete a large part of your health so make sure you dodge them with the Evade button.

If you waste time while turning around, it will attack you with a Slash Attack. To avoid it, make sure you use the Quick Turn mechanic. Finally, keep an eye on its tail. Verdugo’s tail will remind you of the Xenomorph in Aliens. It has a huge blade at the end of its tail and can inflict heavy damage with it. Make sure you keep your distance to avoid it.
