Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath Of The Bride is an exciting co-op mission that is part of the Halloween Terror event in Overwatch 2. In this mission, 4 heroes – Junker Queen, Ashe, Kiriko, and Sojourn team up to fight Sombra as well as some tough bosses before her. If you haven’t received a victory yet and want to know what you can do differently, this guide may come in handy. Here’s how to beat Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath Of The Bride in OW2, even in Legendary mode.
How to Complete Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath Of The Bride in Overwatch 2
Here are some general things to keep in mind for all modes before starting the mission:
- Choose the character you are most familiar with. You get four options – one tank, two damage, and one healer. Pick the character whose abilities you are aware of because that will ensure that you stay a valuable member of the team.
- The tasks remain the same and so does the location where the bosses spawn. So, if you want to get a hang of the objectives, replay story mode and move up the difficulty from there.
- There are jump scares in this mission, so keep an eye out in all directions. That’s because enemies can appear suddenly behind you and drain out all your health as a result.
- If a teammate dies, revive them as soon as possible especially if it’s Kiriko.
How to Play Wrath Of The Bride?
- You will spawn into the game on your own, you need to meet other players in front of the Tavern that’s marked for you in-game. Be careful because there will be Zomnics around you.
- Go inside the Tavern and listen to the radio. You will receive the mission of rescuing the Lord of the Castle who has been taken by Sombra, the spooky bride.
- To enter the castle, you need to find a key.
- This will bring Banshee Moira out – defeat her.
- Open the gate with the key and fight evil Winstons (Gargoyle).
- Next, enter a dungeon that’s marked for you. Activate the hidden levers and enter a room with creepy-looking Echos (Marionettes). Defeat them.
- Proceed ahead until you meet Symmetra (Summoner) and after beating her, make Ashe use her bomb to break open the door.
- Next, you will meet Sigma, who is an Unstoppable Ghost. How to beat him? You can’t! You must dodge his damage orb whenever he is near you because you will take a lot of damage from it. Evade and get away from him by moving around.
- As you go ahead, you will see the enemy called Experiment (Bastion) that you need to kill.
- Now you must enter the Throne room where you will meet the final boss.
- Fight Sombra but be careful, you will face Zomnics, Sigma will reappear and Sombra will use all her abilities against you as well.
- Once she is killed, you will win the challenge.
Tips to Survive in Junkenstein’s Revenge Wrath Of The Bride
Since you have four characters out of which only one is the healer, here are some tactics you can use to survive for longer:
- When enemies appear in a group, Sojourn must use her Disruptor Shot and Ashe can throw her Dynamite to wipe them out faster.
- Kiriko must keep healing after every important stage because apart from her, only Junker Queen has the ability to gain health (and heal allies) temporarily via the Commanding Shout. Make sure that Kiriko stays alive throughout.
- Kiriko can use teleportation to escape situations where she might get swarmed by enemy waves.
- When you are in closed spaces like a passageway in a dungeon or castle room, use the Disruptor Shot to deal damage to any incoming enemies. Shock tires need to be destroyed as soon as possible.
- As Sojourn, power sliding away from dangerous situations is crucial but Ashe does not have the ability of speed. If Junker Queen uses her Commanding Shout, Ashe will receive a temporary movement speed boost. Plus, Kiriko’s Kitsune Rush, if used at the right time can ensure easy takedowns of enemies.
- There are no flying enemies in this scenario (Sigma who floats cannot be damaged and Echo also just floats around), so you don’t have to worry about this aspect.
- If you are playing on higher difficulties, you must hide and dodge at the right times instead of going all guns blazing.
- I would recommend using your ultimates on bosses instead of the smaller enemies you face midway.
How to Beat Banshee Moira
Junker Queen is a good counter for Moira. Combining the “Jagged Blade” ability (using it to pull her) and then using Scattergun shots can destroy Moira. During this, the other players can focus on Moira as well as the Zomnics.
How to Beat Gargoyle Winstons
In this situation, Sojourn will be most useful. With her Disruptor Orb, Railgun, and Ashe’s Dynamite & B.O.B ultimate, you can get a lot of kills. Plus Winston is a tank so Junker Queen’s close-range attacks can turn the fight in your favor. Meanwhile, Kiriko can keep healing and taking down the smaller enemies.
How to Beat Marionette Echo
This is a small room where Ashe and Junker Queen can deal the utmost damage along with Sojourn’s help. Plus, make sure to headshot Echo with Kiriko’s Kunai attacks while also making allies invulnerable for some time. A good trick for Sojourn is to get on top of clocks so that you have a nice vantage point to kill the Echoes.
How to Beat Summoner Symmetra and Winston
Divide the group into two and make sure your enemies are not together. Destroy Symmetra’s Turrets first. Ashe may need to use her Coach Gun ability as well as zoomed-in attacks from her semi-automatic rifle to take down Symmetra. Meanwhile, Junker Queen and Sojourn can kill Winston but don’t let him get too close. Sojourn will have to cancel her power slide more frequently at this stage.
How to Beat Sombra the Bride
- Sombra will show up in the Throne room where she will attempt to flip a switch to torture Reinhardt. You need to ensure that his health doesn’t dip too much so Junker Queen, Sojourn, and Ashe need to focus on Sombra while Kiriko ensures that the team keeps getting healing boosts.
- As Sojourn, you can get on top of the wooden furniture in the middle of the room to dodge enemies and attack from a higher vantage point.
- When Sombra uses her Translocator, destroy it immediately for a shorter fight.
- Ashe especially needs to stay away from the Zomnic bots.
- Sigma will appear once again so run to avoid getting caught in his damage orb. While Sigma is chasing one hero, the others should focus on Sombra and other enemies. It can get chaotic so be prepared.
Best Character to Play
I would say it’s Sojourn due to her Disruptor Shot, Power Slide, and Railgun – all of which are the best for this type of co-op mission. A good Sojourn player can take out enemies from a distance even before they get a chance to reach your group. You can do a ground slide and cancel it into a high jump to hit enemies from above with your Disruptor Shot.
How to Win Wrath Of The Bride on Legendary
While there is no special “trick” that will help you win in Legendary mode aside from the ones mentioned above, here are some things that are of utmost importance in higher difficulties:
- Don’t let anyone die, especially Kiriko. If the team survives the waves, and bosses with clever judgment, planning, and voice chat communication, you will reach victory in the Legendary mode. Remember to keep checking the health bars on the left which will indicate which player is in need of Revival.
- Keep away from the Gargoyles. They are too powerful up close, so keep dealing damage from a distance. Junker Queen players can try their hands at attacking from close range.
- When Banshee Moira is using her ultimate, hide behind walls because it’s pretty powerful. There’s a lot of space in that area to hide and reappear to damage her.
- Back up into the rooms when you encounter waves – you don’t want to be caught right in the middle of enemies, especially if Sigma is coming at you.
