Published Date :

Battle Talus is the latest addition to the list of enemies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It appears as a giant stony monster along with a few Bokoblins riding on its back. This boss enemy is difficult to beat because no normal attacks damage it. However, if you manage to defeat them once, you will have great precious rewards like a Battle Talus Heart or a Treasure Chest. To help you out, here’s a guide that features the location & ways to defeat the Battle Talus in TOTK. Take a look below.

The red markers in the above map show the location of the Battle Talus. You can mostly find them near Hyrule Field, Tabantha Frontier and Hyrule Ridge areas.

Now that you know where to find the Battle Talus, let’s take a look at how to defeat them.

How to Defeat Battle Talus in TOTK (Tips, Tricks & Strategy)

Here are some important things to keep in mind while battling the Battle Talus in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK).

  • First, you need to have a stony weapon (a normal hammer) in your inventory. You will know why in the next few points.
  • After that, clear out all the Bokoblins who’re riding the Battle Talus. To do so, you can use a ranged weapon like a bow.
  • Your normal damage won’t even put a crack on the stony body of the Battle Talus. So you will need to be creative and make use of your Ascend ability here.

  • Simply get under the Battle Talus and use the Ascend ability to climb on its back. On the top, you will find a Flint (black ore deposit) that you must hit with a stony weapon. The Battle Talus will take massive damage each time you hit the Flint on its back. Battle Talus will be defeated once you completely break the Flint in Tears of the Kingdom.
  • After killing it, you can go over and collect drops like its Heart. Not only that, you will unlock a Treasure Chest nearby that will contain Gems like Ruby, Amber, Opal, or Flint.

That’s pretty much everything you can do to find and defeat the Battle Talus in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK). Besides a Battle Talus, you can explore the map to find and beat other enemies like Hinox or Molduga in Zelda TOTK.
