While you can catch a wide range of interesting creatures in Fisch, you can also find some wacky stuff while fishing, and a Banana is one such item. It’s one of the 3 secret fish (including Mustard and Long Pike) currently available in the game and here’s how you can obtain it. As with most fishes, there is a preferred weather, and season to consider — get the details below.
How to Get Banana in Fisch
The Banana can be caught from the Ancient Isle location during Rainy weather and the Summer season in the game. While seasons cannot be changed, you can manipulate the weather to bring about rain. This can be done with the help of the Tempest Totem which costs 2000C$ and can be bought from Terrapin Island.
Go to the hidden underwater cave to buy it and when you equip and activate the totem, the weather in the server will change to rainy. Aside from this, you may also find it in a Treasure chest if you’re lucky. There’s also no restriction in terms of time.
The Banana is a very rare ‘fish’ because it has a 1/1887 chance, however, your luck can be boosted with the help of some Luck boosts, and the Aurora Borealis server event. Thankfully, any bait is useful if you’re trying to catch Bananas in Fisch.
If you haven’t been to Ancient Isle yet, know that the journey can be dangerous because dynamites, whirlpools, and other elements will appear and try to damage your boat. In case your boat gets caught in a whirlpool, it will immediately sink, leaving you to reach the location by jumping on the water or swimming with your diving gear. Having a fast boat that dodges every obstacle or a slow boat that carefully goes around them can be useful strategies to get to the island.
Once you’ve reached there, go to the pond surrounded by a bunch of trees (via the zipline) and keep fishing until you get a Banana. Having a fishing rod with a high Lure Speed and/or Luck will come in handy.
The Banana is good in terms of value because the average C$ is around 13500 and you get around 6900 XP when you catch it, making it ‘fish’ worth catching. So, if you see the black and white exclamation mark while fishing in the Ancient Isle pond, it might be the Banana.
