Resident Evil 4 Remake gives players a seamless experience and doesn’t happen to have any major game-breaking bugs or glitches. But like most games, some sudden issues are bound to spawn from nowhere, and this game too happens to have one of them. So here is how you can fix the Ashley Elevator not working bug in RE4 Remake.
How to Fix the Ashley Elevator Not Working in RE4 Remake
You need to reload your save and replay the section but without solving the grandfather clock early. Players are encountering this bug when they set the hands of the Grandfather clock correctly before going to the Library. This lets them gets the Insignia early. In the Library, you get the keys that you then use to operate the Elevator. You will get this bug if you get the Salazar Crest before using the Keys. So to prevent it from happening again this is the order you should follow:
- Reload your closest save to this section.
- Go to the room with the first clock.
- Ignore it and use the door on the left and make your way to the Hidden Mausoleum.
- This will lead you to the Library.
- Get the Elevator Keys by bringing down the Hidden staircase.
- Knights will now start attacking you. Freeze them using your lantern lamp.
- Use the Elevator.
- Now in this room, find the note to get the time.
- Set the Grandfather clock as per the note you find in this room.
- From here make your way back to the library and to the room with the first Grandfather clock.
- Now, retrieve the Salazar family Insignia and progress normally. The elevator will work properly this time.
This seems to be a confirmed bug right now, and even if you get the keys later but you got the Insignia before using the Elevator, then you will get this error. So make sure you follow the above steps to not get this error.
