Being unarguably the most popular gacha ARPG, Genshin Impact is finally getting an anime series. Collaborating with the Japanese animation studio, ufotable, Hoyoverse is all set to make an anime adaptation of Genshin. Coming from the creators of Demon Slayer, the trailer shows Paimon and the landscapes around the world of Tevyat. While the trailer revealed the anime as a “long-term project”, it did not reveal much about its storyline. And ever since the anime has been announced in September 2022, players have been eager about seeing the characters of Genshin in an anime show. But where can you watch this anime? And when can you expect it to come out? Here’s everything to know about the Genshin Impact Anime Release Date.
Genshin Impact Anime Release Date
The release date for Genshin Impact anime has not been confirmed by miHoYo or ufotable as of now. With the development already in the works, we speculate that the anime will release by the year 2024 or 2025. But since the studios have not even revealed the title for the anime, it can also take longer than that.
Previously, this anime was rumored to be coming out in early May 2023 through some leaks. But these appear to be fake considering neither of the studios has given a release window for this anime till now.
Characters (& Storyline)
Along with Paimon and the landscapes of the Tevyat, the Genshin Impact anime trailer also showcased the Twins. If you have played the game, you would know the storyline to some extent. In the RPG game, following the destruction of Khaenri’ah, one of the Twins is sealed while the other wakes up after 500 years.
But from the concept trailer, it looks like both characters will be having a role to play. We speculate that the anime could be a prequel before the destruction took place.
What can we expect from the Genshin Impact Anime?
Due to the reputation of ufotable, we can expect this anime to have top-notch animation and smoothest-fluid visuals. As confirmed by an anime insider @oecuf0 on Twitter, the Genshin Impact anime will have better animation than “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba“. They also added that the staff is very strong.
But aside from the concept trailer, there’s been no official news by HoYoverse of ufotable. So, we don’t have much information to speculate. We will update this article as soon as more information is revealed.
