During a Favour Mission In Service of Asgard, you will come across Althjof’s Rig. An area near the waters made of wood. The place looks like some kind of factory made of wooden floors. You will have to find a way toward the chimney and stop the black smoke. Completing the objective will reward you with Nidavellir Ore, which is used to craft Nidavellir’s finest armor. Here is a simple way to solve this puzzle.
Althjof’s Rig Puzzle Solution
After reaching the rig, climb on the platform that has a blue flag. You will see black smoke from distance, the objective is to stop it. After climbing on the platform, climb further up using the chain and you will be on a platform with a wheel and lift.
The first step is to use the Blade of Chaos weapon and pull the lever below the lift. This will bring the lift down. Then go right and roll the wheel backward to bring down another platform. This will let you cross this section and you will reach a gate locked with red wooden planks. There is a red container that can explode breaking the gate and allowing you to pass to the left section of the rig. Refer to both the game screenshots above.
Once you cross the lift, use Blade of Chaos to target the red container and pull. It will explode breaking the red-colored planks. Turn left and look for another set of red-colored wooden planks and climb up using Blade of Chaos. Go straight left and you will see the wheel area gain, jump down and rotate the wheel backward. This will restore the wooden platforms’ original position, which we had changed before.
Next climb back from where you dropped and walk left, there is a metal door. Just walk near and press Circle and Kratos will open it. Jump down and target the red barrel to break the locked paths. Take the left entrance and climb up, look for white carvings on the column. Continue climbing left until you reach the other side.
After climbing up looks down for a breakable wall. Press Circle and go down. Once again you will see a left mechanism, use Blade of Chaos to pull it back so that it can break the lock and the lift can go up. Climb back from the left, it will take you back to the wheel area.
From the wheel look to your left, climb up and walk straight-right. Hope over the wooden platform and swing to the other side. Climb straight up and it will lead you to the chimney. Walk near and press the circle to stop the fire and this Favor is done. Also do check the corners for collectibles, signs, and chests.
