Many players are unable to activate their outpost in Meet Your Maker. While raiding the bases of other players is fun. It is equally enjoyable to get creative and set up your own outpost and see how other raiders are faring against it. So here is a quick guide on how you can set up your base and all its statuses.
How to Activate your Outpost in Meet Your Maker
You can Activate your Base by pressing Start and selecting your Outpost status as Active, Override, or Social. This will only be possible after you meet the 4 Activation Criteria, these are:
- Harvester Path
- GenMat Available
- Minimum Defenses
- Activation Slot
Here is what you should do to meet them:
- Start building your base.
- Make or Change your Harvester path such that it can follow from the entrance to the GenMat and vice versa.
- Add the right amount of defenses to not make your outpost too easy to raid.
- While you can have multiple bases you can only activate 5 of them at once. So make sure you have an Activation slot available.
After you meet all of the above requirements you will be able to Activate your Base.
How Outposts Work
Your outpost can have any of the following 4 statuses:
- Active
- Players can raid your base.
- You do not lose your GenMat if raiders successfully steal it.
- You will earn progression from it.
- Override
- Players can raid your base.
- You lose 300 GenMat if the Raiders successfully steal it.
- Each kill gets you 100% more GenMat.
- Inactive
- Players cannot raid your base.
- You do not lose any resources or progression.
- You will earn no progression from it.
- Social
- Only players in the Social Raid menu can raid your base.
- You do not lose any resources or progression.
- You will earn no progression from it.
