While playing the Mistress of the Iron wood quest in Asgard in AC Valhalla, you will have to find and speak to Angrboda the witch. Finding her location and speaking to her will send you to another side quests where you have to find and enter a hidden well. AC Valhalla: Mistress of the Iron Wood Quest Walkthrough
As mentioned earlier, the quest is divided into two different parts. First, you have to find Angrboda and talk with the witch, and later, you have to find and enter the well to collect three roots and bring it back to her. At the very beginning of the quest, you will see a message on the screen that reads, “hidden by Jotnar magic.” Whenever you see this message, you will have to look for a deer skull. The location for these skulls will be highlighted by floating yellow-colored orbs on the screen.
Where to Find Angrboda Location and Speak to Her in AC Valhalla
You will find Angrboda in the Jotunheim region in AC Valhalla. For finding her house, you will need to locate two deer skulls. The first deer skull is nearby the stone circle that you will come across while approaching a large tree in the quest location. Finding this skull will give a hint of Angrboda’s house location. The hint will be that the house is at the top.
Now, find the second deer skull, which is located right opposite the first skull. Get past the tree and find the second deer skull. This time the exact location of Angrboda’s house will be revealed and you can enter it. Climb up the tree from the nearest branch and get inside her house.
Once you are inside the house, interact with Angrboda. She will explain that some special mead can grant immortality. To get further information about the meads, she will ask you to find and enter a well and collect three roots called Hag’s Claw from within the well. This brings us to the second part of the quest.
AC Valhalla: Where to Find and Enter the Hidden Well
The well entrance location in Jotunheim is exactly where it has been marked on the map. However, you won’t see the well there as it is hidden by the Jotnar magic. You can refer to our guide for a detailed walkthrough to get inside the well. To put it briefly, you have to climb up the stairs to the south of the floor plate and interact with the rocks there. This will nullify the magic and expose the hidden well.
Once you find the well, simply enter it and use Odin’s Sight to ping the three roots that you are looking for. Collect all the three roots and take them back to Angrboda at her house. As soon as you give her the roots, a short cutscene will begin and this will complete the Mistress of the Iron Wood quest in AC Valhalla.
