In Resident Evil 4 Remake, players won’t come across the Handcannon in the first playthrough of the game. The weapon is regarded as a bonus weapon and players will have to complete their first run of the game. After which you will have to through the ordeal again but this time with Professional Difficulty and without using any bonus weapons i.e. Chicago sweeper or primal knife. Completing the first run of the game will unlock the professional difficulty.
However, for players who want an easier way, there is another way that they can try to get their hands on the magnum. With the new Mercenaries DLC coming to play, you can unlock the weapon without going through the hassle of completing the game again, and that too on professional difficulty. To do so, you will have to get an S-rank on all three modes in the DLC after which the Handcannon will be available for purchase in the merchant’s store for 1000 pesetas. Getting an S-rank in all three modes is still a hard task for players but it’s a much better way to get your hands on the Handcannon than going through the game again.
