The Classic, Mercenaries Mode is back in Resident Evil 4 Remake after almost 2 weeks of its release. For those who don’t know, it’s a DLC mode wherein players get a chance to play as other characters from RE Universe. Moreover, there are some extra rewards that you can unlock by slaying enemies. You probably don’t want to miss out on this special DLC Pack. That being said, here’s the release date of the Mercenaries Mode and the steps to unlock it in RE4 Remake.
How to Unlock Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake
The Mercenaries Mode will be released as a Free DLC at midnight of April 7th EST. To get it, you simply have to go to your respective platform’s content store. From there, you can download this DLC for free. Moreover, keep in mind that you must have your game updated to the latest 1.04 version. Once done, you can access this mode via the in-game Main Menu screen.
Thankfully, you don’t have to complete the main story to access the Mercenaries in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
How to Play Mercenaries in RE4 Remake
In the Mercenaries mode of Resident 4 Remake, you can battle in 3 different maps – The Village, The Castle, and The Island. The Village is unlocked by default, however, the latter 2 will unlocked eventually. You play as Leon (the default character) to fend off the enemies initially. You earn a score depending on the fight you put on. Further, the amount of score you have earned has a corresponding rank.
- S++ – 1,000,000
- S+ – 500,000
- S – 200,000
- A – 100,000
How to Unlock Hunk, Luis, Krauser in Mercenaries Mode
In order to unlock other characters like Luis, Krauser, and Hunk, you need to get a rank of A or higher in any stage. In addition, you can also unlock a Handcannon Magnum by scoring S or higher rank in all the 3 Stages. This weapon will be available to use in main story mode as well. Hence, make sure to unlock and play the Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake without fail.
