The Tag Team mode allows you to recreate your own tag team matches. Assemble two or more superstars and fight it out as a team against your fellow wrestlers. While playing the match, you can swap between your teammates by performing a tag. Press L1 on PlayStation or LB on Xbox to Tag. But there is a lot more to performing a successful tag. WWE 2K23 improves on the Tag system by adding a few gameplay variations.

A basic Tag can be performed by moving your character toward your team corner and pressing LB/L1. Your teammate will be called in to take your place and you now play as him. You can choose to tag with your teammates at any time during the match. The tag can be used to get you out of tough situations too. When your wrestler’s stamina starts to deplete, you can crawl towards your corner and tag in your teammate, they’ll enter the ring with an extra burst of energy. You can also use tag to perform some team combos. Place your opponent in the your team’s corner, press A/X to trigger a move tag. Your teammate willl now join you for a special double team takedown. You can choose from the list of tag teams and experiment with with one fits your play style the best.
