How to Get the Wing Cap in Super Mario 64

As the name indicates, the Wing Cap in Super Mario 64 adds wings…to Mario’s cap. Yup, pretty straightforward. With this cap, Mario will get the power to fly after performing a triple jump. This can come in real handy to grab some stars that might be tough to grab otherwise. You can even use it to lower his damage when falling from a height – simply fly onto your landing spot.

There are certain conditions you need to fulfill in order to unlock the Wing Cap. First, collect ten stars in the game and then go to the main castle lobby. You will see a beam shining down on the floor – walk into it and look up.

This will initiate the Wing Cap Course. What you need to do here is step on the red switch on the top of the tower. You can jump on it or do the Ground Pound. Doing this will unlock the Wing Cap in Super Mario 64 for you. With it, you can easily soar through the sky and you need to do triple jumps by pressing B thrice. That’s how you will be able to fly as Mario.
