Why is my Fortnite screen white and blank? Is it a glitch or is Fortnite down? These are some of the questions on the minds of Fortnite players trying to get into Fortnite Chapter 3. Let’s take a look at this issue in a bit of detail and find out what you can do to fix it.
How to Fix Fortnite Chapter 3 Stuck at White Screen Glitch?
If you are seeing a blank white screen when loading up Fortnite Chapter 3 for the first time, note that it should be resolved as of now. The Twitter account @FortniteStatus had picked up the issue immediately and provided an update regarding the same after some time. You can now restart the game and get into it without seeing the white screen glitch.
This is not the first time this is happening and it has previously occurred specifically on Nintendo Switch, but now players on other platforms are also experiencing it. Players get the white screen with a Drifting message and nothing happens for quite a while – the game just doesn’t load.
Why did this happen?
Although Fortnite is a hugely popular title with loads of players eager to jump into a game, this issue doesn’t seem to be connected to server overload. Apparently, it was caused due to the Fortnite client. And the only thing you could do from your end is to check your internet connection. Restart your router or switch from your wifi to hotspot to check the issue. But if the internet connection is not a problem then, wait for an update from Fortnite. Usually, they are pretty quick to provide a fix or a workaround wherever possible. So do keep an eye on the @FortniteStatus Twitter account for more info.
