Silk in Black Myth: Wukong is primarily used for upgrading your armor to rare and epic versions which is an important step in your journey towards fighting tougher bosses. While you can farm Will near Shrines, you might want to know the location where you can get Silk to equip armor like Bronze Monkey Mask, Bronze Armguard, Ochre Greaves, and more. These items not only provide better defenses but also give you bonus stats like additional chill resistance, burn resistance, and the like. Look no further! In this guide, we’ve shared all the steps you can follow to collect this material.
Where to Find Silk in Black Myth: Wukong
Silk is harder to find in Chapter 1 but gets significantly easier to get as you start Chapter 2. It can be obtained as a reward for completing Chapter 1: Black Cloud, Red Fire. But before that in the early game, you can search chests to hope to collect this resource or you can purchase it from the Shrine Store within the Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple area in Black Wind Mountain which sells x2 Silk for 600 Will. This doesn’t refresh so you only get 2.
You can also defeat the Yaoguai King: Elder Jinchi in Ancient Guanyin Temple for a chance to get x2 Silk.
There’s also a chance that a Fungiling in Bamboo Grove > Snake Trail in Black Wind Mountain can drop Silk, however, there are no guarantees.
Once you move ahead in the story, Rat enemies and Spearbones in Yellow Wind Ridge (Chapter 2: Yellow Sand, Desolate Dusk) and onwards are good sources for Silk. Defeating Yaoguai Kings, Chiefs, and other larger enemies can grant this material but even smaller foes have a chance to drop it, making it a more common resource at this point.
With these tips, you should be able to collect Silk in Black Myth: Wukong and easily upgrade the armor for your character. As you progress further to Chapter 3, you will come across locked doors with a purple seal with no hint on how to open them. Check out our interlinked guide to know the trick to open them.
