The Midnight Axolotl is a Legendary creature and variation of the Axolotl found in the Desolate Deep area after the Desolate Dwelling update. As the name suggests, it can be caught at night, however, there are some more details you need to know if you wish to obtain this rare creature.
Where to Find Midnight Axolotl in Fisch (Location)
Hop on your boat and reach the Desolate Deep region to have a chance of catching the Midnight Axolotl in Fisch. Make sure it’s Spring or Autumn season, you have its preferred bait (which is Insect) and apart from these conditions, any weather will work.
When you cast a line, shake it, and hook it the exclamation mark you see will be gold instead of red, which indicates that you have a Legendary at hand.

Also, make sure you have money farmed because you will need to purchase the Basic Diving Gear from Moosewood (near the Shipwright) and the Advanced Diving Gear on a red buoy to be able to swim into deep water without having to come up for air.

- Head towards Sunstone Island from Moosewood on your boat of choice.
- Move north from Sunstone Island, or northwest from the Statue of Sovereignty, until you find a lone red buoy in the water. It is quite far off so keep an eye out for the red bouy with flags.
- The entrance to Desolate Deep is directly below the buoy.
- Look for a narrow pathway at the bottom left near the Desolate Deep sign, leading you into the area.
