Where to Find the Colossal Squid in Fisch (Location)
The Mythical Colossal Squid can be caught in the Snowcap Island location as well as the Deep Ocean. You can access both of these places with a boat, so if you haven’t leveled up enough or don’t have enough in-game cash, make that your first priority.
The Snowcap Island is in the southeast section of the map. Get there on your boat and head into this little cave here.
Requirements to Catch Colossal Squid
The weather required is Foggy or Rainy and it should be night time — only when you fulfill all of these requirements do you have an opportunity to catch the Colossal Squid.
Speaking of catching the fish, which fishing rod and bait do you need?
The fishing rods that have a high chance of catching a Colossal Squid are the Steady Rod, or a Kings Rod.
The Steady Rod can be bought at Roslit Hamlet for 7000 cash, and the Kings Rod can be bought at the Enchant Altar location for 120,000 C$.
You might also need an extra boost and for this, go to Sunstone Island, buy an Enchant Relic from Merlin, and go to the Altar to potentially get the Scrapper enchant which has a 60% chance to not consume bait.
With any of these rods, and baits that provide Luck and Resilience boost (such as Seaweed, Shrimp, Bagel, Fish Head, Night Shrimp, Super Flakes, Weird Algae, etc), you might just catch this highly sought-after sea creature. The last part to really take care of is not losing the fishing mini-game!
Once you’ve caught it, go to the Appraiser in Moosewood to know the worth of your catch after which you can sell it and make a lot of money for your other purchases.
