After the success that Respawn Entertainment brought in 2019, its co-founder Vince Zampella will take over DICE LA studios which is infamous the Star Wars Battlefront games.
After a stellar 2019, in which Respawn Entertainment published two amazing games in Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA is showing a lot of faith by taking Zampella and letting him head EA DICE.
Not only this but a name change is also on the cards, DICE LA will have a new name which will be the first point of the rebranding strategy by Zampella.
A new unrevealed game is also in the works at EA DICE LA under Zampella, this new game will probably be targetted towards the new generation of console while Respawn Entertainment will focus on Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Zampella wishes to give DICE a new image, a destination where people can go and make new content. While the transition is in place, there are expected big changes that will take place throughout 2020.
Hopefully this will also brings a new structure to the games that are being developed at EA DICE LA and usher in less money-grabbing and nonlootbox style to the games.
As of right now, there isn’t much information available but we will be updating as and when there is more to speculate about.
