You can use Purified Gems on Shadow raid bosses when they enter the Enraged state. These are needed to subdue the Pokemon boss and calm them down, which in turn will help make the battle easier. The best part is you can stack the effects of this gem. Every player can use up to 5 of these Purified gems in a battle. For the best results, you should get all 8 trainers to use it during the fight.
- Start a Shadow raid.
- Battle against the Shadow Pokemon boss.
- After you deplete 1/3rd of its HP it will become “Enraged”.
- In the bottom left corner, the Purified gem will appear. Be sure to make one if you have none it won’t show up if you don’t have any.
- Tap on the Purified gem to use it.
- Once done the Enraged text should disappear from the top of the Shadow boss Pokemon.
- After you use one it goes on a cooldown before you can use another.
Keep using it until you defeat it. After that, you can catch the Shadow Pokemon.
How to Get Purified Gems
You need Shard Refiner and 4x Shadow Shards to make 1 Purified Gem. You can collect them by fighting and defeating Team GO Rocket members, leaders, and Giovanni.
Do remember that you can only hold up to 10 gems at once so be sure to use them timely.
