But today we will help you to easily find this item, and use it to get the look you desire in the game. So let’s look at everything to know about hair growth rate, where to buy & get Hair Tone, and how to use it in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2).

Your beard will stop growing on its own at stage 6. The only way to go beyond is to consume tonics. Consuming hair tonics double the growth rate for up to two stages. And the effect stacks if you consume two or three hair tonics, leading to an x4 and x8 growth rate respectively. Here are the in-game details of hair growth stages:

Hair Stage 0 Beard Stage 0
Hair Stage 1 Beard Stage 1 2 days 1.6 hours

Hair Stage 7 Beard Stage 7 20 days 16 hours

How to Use Hair & Beard Tonic in Red Dead Redemption 2

As mentioned above, to use Hair Tonic in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), you need to open Satchel using the right D-pad on the controller, then go to the “Kit” tab, and select “Hair Tonic”. It’s that easy. You can drink up to 2 or 3  bottles to stack up its effects on Arthur. Stacking their effects if the fastest way to grow both head and facial hair. By using tonics you can increase the number of days you need to grow your head & facial hair to full length. Also, keep in mind that you can only hair growth by stages after a screen fade. So to see your hair grow after using the tonic, you need to do activities like sleeping. respawning, fast traveling, starting new chapters, starting missions for cutscenes, and anything that will trigger a screen fade in RDR2.

Also if your bread growth stage is less than 5, then you should not waste by stacking together 3 tonics. There will not be enough in-game time as per the chart above, to grow your hair to max length. So only stack up 3 tonics once you reach stage 5 beard level.

That’s all about hair growth rate, where to buy & get Hair Tone, and how to use it in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2).
