In Elden Ring, Each main Boss will drop a Great Rune upon defeat. Each Great Rune dropped is unique to the Boss it was obtained from. But the question arises what can you do with the Great Runes? It says it boosts stats but nothing happens. In this guide, I will show you what to do with Great Runes in Elden Ring.

What to Do with Great Runes in Elden Ring?

Whenever you defeat a main Boss, the Demigods, you will obtain their respective Remembrance & Great Rune. On the Great Rune, it will tell you what it can do. For Example, Godrick’s Great Rune will raise all attributes by +5, Great Rune of the Unborn allows the player to respec their characters, etc. As you can see from the examples, Great Runes are enhancers that the players can use. Each Great Rune has a unique ability. But when you do get a Great Rune, you can not immediately use them. To activate them, you will have to go to their respective Divine Tower.

How to use a Great Rune

Before you can use a Great Rune, you will have to restore them. When you inspect a Great Rune, it will tell you which Divine Tower you must go to. Go there and you will be able to restore it. After you have restored it, equip the Great Rune and now you can use it whenever you want. To activate the effects from the Great Rune in Elden Ring, you will need Rune Arcs. Consume a Rune Arc and the benefits of the Great Rune will be activated. These effects will last till the player dies. You will be able to Farm for Rune Arcs so don’t be stingy with them.
