In Lies of P, using Boss Souls you can craft weapons or get amulets. These weapons can be very powerful as they come with unique fable art and special moves. Here the game refers to them as Rare Ergo, and much like how Boss Souls worked in Dark Souls, you will need the help of an NPC to use them. How to Use Rare Ergo (Boss Souls) in Lies of P
As mentioned above, there are two main ways to use Rare Ergo in this game. Their best use is to get Boss Weapons and Amulets. Alternatively, you can use them to level up Pinocchio by getting more Ergo.
How to Craft Weapons & Amulets in Lies of P
You won’t be able to do it from the start and will have to reach chapter 4 for it and find Alidoro. Here is what you do:
- Save up your Rare Ergo until you reach Chapter 4.
- Make your way to the St. Frangelico’s Cathedral Library stargazer.
- Next, turn right from the bookshelves and another right once you come out.
- Defeat the enemies or run past them to use the flight of stairs to reach up.
- Keep going straight then turn left on the bridge on the other side of the corridor and use the stairs to go down.
- Follow the natural path and eventually reach the area flooded with liquid that causes decay.
- Run to the left and you will reach another set of stairs.
- Wait for your decay meter to go down. Then climb up and defeat the Elite enemy in the room here.
- Next, use the elevator to go up.
- Here you can talk to Alidoro. Tell him to go to Hotel Krat.
- In case you chose Vengini Works, you have to go back to Chapter 3 to the Workshop Union Entrance. Defeat the boss Fallen Archbishop Andreus. Now, talk to him about the Hotel.
- Finally, go back to the hotel, turn left from the reception and you should be able to find Alidoro in the next area.
- Talk to him and he will let you exchange your Rare Ergo for boss weapons and amulets.
How to Use Boss Souls to Level Up
You can use Rare Ergo like other Ergo fragments to get more Ergo. This can then be used to increase the different Attributes of Pinocchio or to purchase various items from vendors.
- Go to any Stargazer and exchange the Ergo to level up the attributes of your choice.
Make sure to not use the Rare Ergo as soon as you get one. Rather use it next to a Stargazer, this way you will be safe and won’t have to worry about losing Ergo in combat.
