In true Metroidvania fashion, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown consists of a lot of puzzles, traps, and secrets for players to uncover as they progress into their campaign. One of the puzzles that might end up taking loads of your time if you don’t figure it out fast, is the Upper Citadel Wheel Puzzle. You will stumble upon the puzzle during the Abducted Prince questline while looking for Anahita in the Upper Citadel.

Similar to other puzzles like the Water Wheel puzzle before entering the Hyrcanian Forest, there are a lot of moving parts to this obstacle course. And while on the outside it might look a tough one to beat, it’s quite easy to complete and climb atop. So if you are looking to save up some time and progress further without any hassle, here’s how to solve the puzzle and explore the Upper Citadel.

To solve Upper Citadel Puzzle in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, you will need to first position yourself on the middle platform between the Griffin statues. With the Chakram at your disposal, aim one of your ranged attacks towards the wheel in the middle and fire it. Once done, both of the statues will start moving on either side.

You will need to head towards the left-hand side towards the wall and eject yourself from the wall by jumping and quickly grab the pole in between. After which simply jump on the wooden platform just above and recall the Chakram where the statues will move back to their original position. Here, you will need to be quick by jumping down the platform and quickly using the Rush of the Simurgh Time Power to grab the pole.

Once you grab the pole, jump towards the upper right wooden platform near the moving cogwheels. Again aim your Chakram towards the original wheel and move the Griffin Statues once again to either side. Players will have to jump down and use the time power to quickly grab the pole on their right and jump on the platform above.

From here, you will need to climb atop while jumping and using both the walls where you will come across an opening. Once you do, simply jump over the ledge onto the next platform beside an elevator with a lever. Interact with it and it will help you come down for the moment. Here, jump down at ground level and use the wall on your left, the one you used the very first time, to grab onto the pole in between and climb atop the platform.

After which simply use, both the walls and climb atop the ledge in the game. You will come across another wheel directly on top where you will be able to use your Chakram again. Using it will lower the platform on the right side, however, do not recall it yet. Once again, jump from the ledge on your left onto the platform, and grab the pole below you to jump across and reach the elevator.

Interact with the elevator which help you reach its original position and you will be able to climb atop the platform that you lowered before. Here, recall your Chakram which will help you lift the platform and use it once again on the wheel on top of you. This will lower another elevator for you, just stand on it and recall the Chakram. This way you will be able to solve the Upper Citadel Puzzle in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown and get on the top area.
