Exploring the cursed city of Mount Qaf and facing different enemies on your quest to rescue Prince Ghassan can be quite challenging if you haven’t yet thought of upgrading your weapons. Sargon’s signature dual blades, Qays and Layla, are more than ideal for dealing with enemies at the beginning of your journey in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. However, you might quickly realize that they might not stand a chance against the different bosses you would encounter further down the line.
While upgrading your weapons is fairly simple and doesn’t involve any complicated process, you will first need to get through certain part of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown to unlock and access the area. That said, since it’s early in the game, it is quite easy to miss out on. So if you are looking to make those dual blades better, then here is everything you need to know.
How to Upgrade Weapons in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown
To upgrade weapons in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, players will need to visit Kaheva’s Forge. Inside the forge, you will be able to interact with Kaheva the Blacksmith who will help you upgrade Qays and Layla, and other weapons in exchange for crystals and Azure Damascus Ingots.
However, you will need to first unlock Kaheva’s Forge to access the upgrades from the blacksmith in the game. You will be able to unlock the area after acquiring the Bow of Menolias and the Chakram in the Hyrcanian Forest.
Where to Find Kaheva’s Forge
After getting your hands on the bow and chakram, you can return to The Haven where you will find a golden door-like symbol on the left of the Mage Vendor.
You will have to simply climb up those platforms beside the merchant and interact with the golden door to enter Kaheva’s Forge in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Players will need to exhaust a few of the dialogue options with Kaheva, after which she will upgrade your weapons with the crystals and Azure Damascus Ingots.
