The long-running Need for Speed (NFS) franchise has for years kept players hooked to the wild and adventure-filled world of racing. The recently released NFS Unbound is the most stylish entrant in the series and is expected to leave a huge impact. The latest game is raising some doubts among players. Firstly, to clear the air, this is not a bug. You’re not the only one who’s in this situation. To set it straight, you will not be able to upgrade cars during the start of the game. Initially, during the Prologue, you will be able to choose one car out of three. Even then, you will be able to customize only the external parts of the vehicle such as the tyres, spoilers and its color. Similar to buying your first car in NFS Unbound, you will need to wait it out until the Prologue ends to get the upgrade option.

As explained above, you need to purchase a new car first. Once you get that box ticked, you will be able to upgrade your car now.
