You just got your hands on NFS Unbound and are playing through the opening stages of the story. And then it hits, you still don’t have your own car. What’s worse is that you don’t have any option to buy a car in Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound. Let me cut to the chase, you can indeed buy your own cars in the game. But this option becomes available a little while later.
How to Buy Cars in Need for Speed Unbound
You will have to complete the Prologue first before you can buy cars in the game. The two characters – Rydell and Yaz take you through this brand-new world of racing. Once the intro is done, the option to buy cars from the garage will now be open. You will be able to buy a car of your choice from Rydell’s garage. But keep this in mind, most of these cars will still remain locked. You’d be required to progress further in the story to unlock these cars and then purchase them eventually if you like.
It might be frustrating not being able to drive through the streets of Lakeshore City early on in the game with your own car. We understand your disappointment, but you have no other choice other than being patient. The fact is you can indeed buy your own cars in the game, but this option will become available a little while later. Once you complete the prologue, you’ll earn enough money to buy a car of your choice!
