The Ripper is a part of the exclusive deluxe edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

Since the Ripper is a part of the deluxe edition, the only way to unlock him is by purchasing the edition. In the deluxe edition, the Ripper will be available to you from the very beginning.

The deluxe edition of THPS 1 + 2 costs $42.37. Apart from the Ripper, the deluxe edition also includes everything from the standard edition and retro outfits for some players including Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen. It also sports some retro content for the Create-A-Skater mode.
