When it comes to RPG games a very common mechanic that you will see is the rock-paper-scissors system. For example in Fire Emblem, Sword beats Axe which beats Lance and in turn, Lance beats Sword. This is a basic example and in games like Pokemon, it is very complex due to there being more than 18 types and even dual types. Since Palworld takes inspiration from it, one of the other mechanics it shares with Pokemon is the elemental type system. So if you aren’t sure about the strengths or weaknesses of each element, this is the type chart you can refer to.

You can only have up to 5 Pals on your party at a time. As such it is important the five you take along with you have you covered in terms of enemy Pal weaknesses. If your Pal has the element that your opponent is weak to, you have an advantage as you can deal more damage.
Fire is the strongest type in terms of offense as it is strong against both grass and ice. Meanwhile, the Neutral type is the worst as it is weak to dark type while particularly strong against none.
That’s it for the elemental type charts for both the strengths and weaknesses of different Pals in this game. For more things Palworld you should also check our other guides on the Pal sphere not working fix, how to get wool, and how to build a roof.
