Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2: How To Do Specials

Published Date :

Performing Special tricks in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is fun and crucial because that is how you will be able to get high scores and land awesome combos. If you have already mastered the basics of manual and nose manual, ollie and more, you can learn how to do specials in this game. Want to know how to do that? Know the fundamentals right here in this guide.

How to Perform Special Tricks in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

The first thing you should remember is that every skater has their own specials. You can go to the Pause Menu and the visit the Skater section where you need to choose the Tricks tab. By doing this, you will be able to see the skater’s special tricks as well as the way to do those specials (using button combo).

You can also add more in the extra slots given right next to them. Plus, there will be locked slots that you can unlock by challenge completion. Another thing to note is that you will be able to see how many points you can earn for performing a certain Special trick right there. As you keep doing them back to back, you will earn lesser points each time.

Can you perform those specials any time? Well, no. You need the Special bar for that. Once that special bar/meter lights up as you do normal tricks without falling, you can start performing special ones. Keep chaining your tricks (grinds, flips, grabs) and getting points until the bar fills up. Then all you have to do is just press the desired input sequence for the special tricks which will help you get higher scores.

If you want to put your own inputs, you can do so in the Tricks Menu. This will make things easier for you but do note that you will need enough practice. Hence, make it a point to give it time and patience until you master them and show off your skills.
