The timed research tasks for the Psychic Spectacular 2022 event are:
- Make 5 Curveball Throws
- Reward: Elgyem Encounter
- Make 10 Curveball Throws
- Reward: Elgyem Encounter
- Make 15 Curveball Throws
- Reward: Elgyem Encounter
- Make 20 Curveball Throws
- Reward: Elgyem Encounter
- Make 25 Curveball Throws

- Make 30 Curveball Throws

- Make 35 Curveball Throws

Thus you get a total of 8 Elgyem encounters when you complete the Timed Research Tasks. And these encounters give you 24 Elgyem. Not to mention you can also transfer 7 of them to get more Elgyem Candies. So you shouldn’t have a hard time evolving Elgyem to Beheeyem. After you complete all 8 of these tasks you also get:

How to Make Curveball Throws
Here is how you can make a curveball throw in Pokemon GO:
- Tap and hold the Poke ball.
- Now instead of throwing it in a straight line, start making a few circles.
- You can make them in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions.
- Keep in mind the arc follows the direction you choose for making the circles. So for example, if you spin the Poke ball clockwise, then when you throw it, it launches in an arc that goes from left to right before hitting the Pokemon. The opposite is true when you spin anticlockwise.
- After you are done making a few circles launch the Poke ball at the Pokemon.
Make such curveball throws 42 times and you will complete the Timed Research tasks for this event.
