TFT Set 8 Threat Trait: What Does It Do (Explained)

Shubham NemaBy Shubham NemaDecember 14, 20222 Mins Read

With the launch of the Monsters attack expansion, a plethora of new traits have been added in Teamfight Tactics Set 8. One of these includes the Threat Trait. But unlike other traits, these units neither synergize nor increase any bonuses. This has left several players confused about this trait. Not to worry, check out our guide that explains what does the Threat Trait do in TFT Set 8.

What Does the Threat Trait Do in TFT Set 8

The Threat traits are powerful and slightly more buffed than any other Traits in TFT Set 8. These traits are the unique units or champions that don’t synergize or offer any bonuses in TFT Set 8. In total, there are eight Threat champions you can pick for your team comp. But make a note that the Threat units don’t have any additional traits to use. These units have their own Hero Augments and simply use one board space.

So, here are all the Threat units or champions you can use in TFT Set 8:

    • Cho’Gath
    • Rammus
    • Vel’Koz
    • Aurelion Sol
    • Bel’Veth
    • Zac
    • Fiddlesticks
    • Urgot.

If you are thinking that Threat Traits are irrelevant in the game, you are pretty much wrong. That’s because they are slightly more buffed than other units in TFT set 8 as mentioned earlier. Being more buffed than others, Threat units also act individually. So, if you are looking to cause massive damage output against your enemies, Threat champions might be the right pick. You can also use the Threat traits to fill in your team composition. Alternatively, you can also use the Threats as the item holders for higher-cost units. These units might be a perfect replacement if your board is a mess or weak.

That’s everything covered about what does the Threat Trait do in TFT Set 8. If you liked this guide, check out our guide on 5 Best Meta team comps, and more Teamfight Tactics Guides right here on Gamer Tweak.
