Playing ARK is no easy task. Learning how to survive without any help is not going to get you far and so, you must learn how to tame various creatures in the game. One of the first is the dinosaur Parasaur. In this guide, we will show you the steps that you need to take to tame a Parasaur in ARK: Survival Evolved.
How to Tame a Parasaur in ARK: Survival Evolved
One of the easiest ARK: Survival Evolved dinosaurs to tame is a Parasaur. Here are the items that you need to tame this dinosaur:
- A club
- 50 Narcoberries
- 50 Mejoberries
Club the Parasaur till it is unconscious and then stop hitting it once you’ve knocked it out. Then, access its inventory to give it Narcoberries. These will make it stay unconscious.
Now, the way to get it to be tamed is by using its preferred food, the Mejoberries. Put these in its inventory to keep it happy. If you can’t find these berries then you can use others. However, the Mejoberries make things much easier.
What is The Taming Process for a Parasaur
When you search for a Parasaur, make sure that its level is low. The lower the level, the easier it is to tame in ARK. If you happen to find the Parasaur in a dangerous space then take it to a safe one before you try to tame it. You can do this by hitting it first with the club before you chase it to the next location.
As you get ahead in the game, you will be able to do this much more easily. However, as a newbie, this is the best that you can do for now.
Try to keep the Parasaur unconscious but happy for around 30 minutes as you feed it through its inventory with Narcoberries and Mejoberries. Once you have waited long enough, you will have gotten a tamed dinosaur.
We hope that this guide has helped you find a way to tame a Parasaur in ARK: Survival Evolved. If you liked this article then check out this one on how to spoil meat fast in ARK.
