Szarr Palace and Sinister Door Location in BG3
Cazador’s Ritual Chamber is located in the Szarr Palace, which can be found west of the Lower City’s Central Wall at X:-70, Y:-55. To access the palace, you can confront Cazador’s spawn in the Outer City, triggering the Investigate Cazador’s Palace quest, or go there directly. However, facing the spawn first will prevent it from warning Cazador of your arrival.
Once inside, you’ll either have to fight or sneak past the guards at the front entrance. Beyond them are Cazador’s servants and the Sinister Door. To open this magically sealed door, you’ll need the Szarr Family Ring to unlock it and the Kozakuran Dictionary to decipher the necessary spells.
How to Find Kozakuran Dictionary and Szarr Family Ring?
Kozakuran Dictionary Location
From the main floor’s Sinister Door, head left through the curtains to find a set of stairs going down. This leads to the Kennels, where vampires punish their spawn.
In the first room on the left, marked with green and black ivy, is the Kozakuran Dictionary. Inside is a necrotic cloud from a cursed child’s corpse. Grab the dictionary from the wardrobe beneath the butterfly painting, but be careful not to take too much damage from the Necrotic mist. Dimension Door or Misty Step can help avoid it.
Szarr Family Ring Location
Stay on this floor and continue to the right from the dictionary room. In a hidden round alcove is a secret Kennel door. You can make a DC 10 Investigation check to find the doorway.
Go through the doorway, and make a DC 15 Perception check to notice a keeper, Godey, waiting to ambush you immediately to the right. If you fail, you’ll have to steal it or kill him because he wears the Family Ring.
After obtaining the Szarr Family Ring and the Kozakuran Dictionary, back up the spiral staircase to the Sinister Door. After that, you can do more exploration in Cazador’s Palace.
