Sunset Fireflies in Zelda TotK are usually found during the night in areas with waterbodies or forests like the Hyrule Castle town. Apart from that, you can also get Sunset Fireflies in the following locations:

  • Pagos Woods
  • Mount Daphnes
  • Great Sky Island (0283, -1334,1402)

You can also buy Sunset Fireflies from Beedle at Highland Stable for 10 Rupees. However, at a time, you can only purchase three Sunset Fireflies from this vendor. You can return to his shop after 24 hours when the items are refreshed.

Like we said before, “The Flute Player’s Plan” side quest takes place while you’re trying to unlock the Great Fairy Fountains in Zelda TotK.
