How To Upgrade Storage In LEGO Fortnite (Get Chests)

Updated Date :

The LEGO mode offers a vast map for exploration. As you go around the world you’ll gather different kinds of materials from monsters and surroundings, which will fill your inventory in no time. Though at present there are no ways to increase the inventory slots, you can get and use a storage chest in LEGO Fortnite to make space. Here we have given the requirements and methods for crafting and using the chests in the game.

The recipe for the first storage chest: Small Chest unlocks after building Simple Shack. It comes as one of the tutorial tasks, where you need to collect 6 Planks for it. To get the material, first craft a Lumber Mill with 8 Woods and 15 Granite. Now, use the woods in the Lumber Mill and wait some time to get the Planks.

  • Once you have the material, open the Build menu from the bottom-left of your screen.
  • Select Storage from the Furniture tab.
  • Under the storage, you’ll see the Small Chest, select and place it anywhere you want. You cannot move it after placing it, so it’s best to keep it where you don’t want to build other structures.
  • You’ll get the 10 slots in it.
  • Keep leveling the village to unlock more chests and upgrade storage in LEGO Fortnite.

How to Use Storage Chests?

Before using the Chest storage, you should merge the items, as even the same ones will take different slots like the Inventory. Merging is simple just go to your Inventory and press the M key.

  • Go near the chest and interact with it using the E.
  • Once you do that you will see the Inventory on the left and Storage on the right side.
  • Just drag and place the items from the Inventory into chest slots if you don’t want them there.
  • If it is a bundle, select it and use the Deposit Stack option to transfer all.
  • If you don’t want to place it all in the chest, tap on the item from Inventory and choose Split.

Upgrade to Bigger Storage Chests in LEGO Fortnite

Small Chest is not enough, as it has only 10 slots. When you level up your village and forage for more resources, you need to upgrade to better ones. You can use this list of bigger storage chests for that:

  • Medium Chest (16 items): 8 Knotroot, 6 Marble Slab
  • Large Chest (20 items): 6 Obsidian Slabs, 4 Copper Bars
  • Grand Chest (24 items): 8 Frostpine, 4 Iron Bars

That’s all you need to do to get and use Inventory in LEGO Fortnite. For more interesting and helpful guides like these, check our Fortnite section.
