As a part of the 1.5 update, you can now get ostriches in Stardew Valley. However, these flightless birds are not that easy to acquire in the game. You might end up wondering too and fro to get it, and you still might not succeed. Hence, we are here with this guide to help you easily find ostriches.
Stardew Valley – How to Get Ostriches
You can get Ostriches in Stardew Valley by setting Professor Snail free and completing his entire museum. Once you do this, Professor Snail will gift you an Ostrich Incubator. You can use this incubator to hatch ostrich eggs into baby ostriches. These babies can then grow and produce more eggs that can help increase the amount. Ostrich’s eggs are large and very delicious that can come in handy. Also, the birds themselves can help you on the farm.
But before even all this begins, there are a few requisites that you need to complete. In the first place, you will have to complete all the community board bundles. The second step is to get to Ginger Island. You need to repair Willy’s old boat to get to the Island. Once at the Island, you will then have to find Professor Snail and set him free.
To find and free Professor Snail, you have to go west on Ginger Island to find a broken bridge. Pay 10 Golden Walnuts to the parrot to repair the bridge and then find a boulder past it. Destroy the boulder using a bomb and you will find Professor Snail. Once you free him and complete his museum by collecting various fossils and artifacts, he will gift you the incubator.
But the incubator alone is of no use. You will require ostrich eggs to use it. Head to the ninth level of the volcano dungeon to find and collect some ostrich eggs. Once you have the eggs, use the incubator to hatch them into babies. After one month the babies will turn into fully grown ostriches who can lay eggs.
That’s everything you need to know about how to get ostriches in Stardew Valley. Apart from the ostrich eggs, you can find various other items in the volcano dungeon and on Ginger Island. For instance, you can get mango trees, Dragon Tooth, and Golden Walnuts in Stardew Valley.
