Stardew Valley might support multiplayer mode but it does not support crossplay as of now. Yes, you can’t play Stardew Valley with your friends across platforms. If you are playing Stardew Valley on PC, or PS, you would not be able to play with friends playing on Xbox One or Nintendo Switch.
The game is available for all gaming platforms such as PC, PS4, Xbox One, Linux, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. The person who hosts the game should save the file on their platform, which means that person will have to host and begin the game whenever you and your friends want to play it.
