Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Is On The Verge Of Returning

The Insiders Speculation

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic a.k.a KotOR is rumored to be returning back. When and how is a mystery?  Based on a video by Paul James from Player2.net.au KotOR will be finally making a comeback around 2023 (rumor). The franchise got discontinued for a while, based on certain reports and rumors it is speculated or best it suggest that KotOR is coming back.

Breaking down the speculation Paul shared the new KotOR title will be a combination of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 in some sort of re-imagined form to make the story fit in the Star Wars universe.

As a guess based on recent releases the game will be handled by EA, why because EA has a talented team that worked on Battlefront  2. The title was outstanding yet failed because of the loot box model that was later pulled out by EA. This can be considered as one of the primary motives of EA getting involved in producing the returning of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Because it already has the resource. The next possible reason for EA getting involved in KotOR is EA Dice, developers of Battlefield and Battlefront.

Bioware is the original developers of KotOR and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. As per Paul’s analyis, Bioware could be the one to reboot the title, but this can only be speculation. Obsidian is now a part of Xbox, which strikes them out of the list.
