Some fish are easy to catch, but some of the rare ones are very difficult to spot and then hold on to catch. But that’s what we are here for, to make things simple and easy for you. In this fishing guide, we will help you with how to catch fish in Spiritfarer.

Spiritfarer Fishing Guide: How To Catch Fish

The first thing you will obviously need to do is to get into the fishing mode. All you need to do is get to the fishing chair and interact with it to start the fishing mode. Then you will throw the bob into the water. When the bob starts moving in the water, press and hold X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Nintendo Switch, and E on the keyboard to start reeling in the fish. As you start reeling in, the color of your rod will start turning from yellow to golden. That’s how you catch a normal fish in Spiritfarer. But this won’t work for some rare and powerful fishes such as Tuna and Haddock.

To catch rare fishes such as Haddock or Tuna in Spiritfarer, you will have to keep watching the color of your rod. Unlike while catching easy fishes, the color of the rod will start turning to orange and then to red. Once the color is completely red, the string will break down and you won’t be able to catch the fish. To catch such fishes, instead of holding on to reel in button, you will have to start tapping it at regular interval of times as soon as the rod’s color turns orange. When the color is back to normal that is yellow, you can again start holding the reel in button. Repeat this until you get your reward, the fish.

To summarize it up, you will have to keep a lookout for your fishing rod’s color to catch fish in Spiritfarer. With this trick, you can catch all the fishes including Tuna and Jellyfish to find all the recipes in Spiritfarer.
