How to get Spirit in Diablo 2 Resurrected
The Spirit Rune Word is appliable to a Base Sword or a Shield that has four open sockets. The Runes you will need are Tal Rune, Thul Rune, Ort Rune, and Amn Rune. You will have to place these in the same order as mentioned above to get Spirit in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
You will first need to get the Weapon or Shield to apply then Runes on. These gear items include Crystal Sword, Broad Sword, Long Sword, Monarch, Ward, Aegis, and Paladin Shields. Drops from monsters have a certain level called Item Level or iLvl. iLvls basically decide how many open sockets an item will have. To get the gear with four open sockets, the iLvl must be in between 26 and 41 levels. This level range will guarantee the four open sockets from the Larzuk Quest. You can also run the Secret Cow Level in the difficulty you are in and confirm the iLvl of your item.
How to get the Runes for Spirit in Diablo 2 Resurrected
As mentioned before you will the four Runes of Tal, Thul, Ort, and Amn. You can get these Runes by playing multiple Runs on Countess in different difficulties. You will get Tal from Normal Countess as well as completing the Act V Quest of killing Skenk the Overseer. The Act V Quest will also give you Ort Runes. Thul and Amn Runes can be obtained from the Countess Runs in Nightmare and Hell difficulties. Spirit applies some amazing effects on the Weapon or Shield. They are:

- +22 to Vitality
- +25-35% Faster Cast Rate
- +250 Defense vs Missiles
- +3-8 Magic Absorb
- +55% Faster Hit Recovery
- +75 Poison Damage over 5 seconds
- +89-112 to Mana
- 7% Life Stolen Per Hit
- Adds 1-50 Lightning Damage
- Adds 3-14 Cold Damage for 3 Seconds
- Shield:
- +2 to all skills
- +22 to Vitality
- +25-35% Faster Cast Rate
- +250 Defense vs. Missiles
- +3-8 Magic Absorb
- +55% Faster Hit Recovery
- +89-112 to Mana
- Attacker takes damage of 14
- Cold Resist +35%
- Lightning Resist +35%
- Poison Resist +35%
Things to Keep in Mind
The item you want to apply Spirit on must have only four open sockets. Any higher or lower will not allow you to make the Rune Word. Also, don’t apply Spirit on Ethereal Items as it will be wasted once the Ethereal Item breaks.
