While exploring the lands in the Forgotten Realms, players will come across many interesting items including the Spider Egg Sac in Baldur’s Gate 3. And while some of the items you come across wouldn’t be much of a problem to find, some can prove to be harder because of all the perception & other important checks in the game. And while you may find searching for the Spider Egg Sac relatively easy in BG3. There are a few things that players will have to keep in mind before they venture out to get one in the game. Where to Find Spider Egg Sac in Baldur’s Gate 3
Players will have to travel to these coordinates X:151 Y:364 to find the Spider Egg Sac inside a pouch in Baldur’s Gate 3. The best bet would be to either travel north of the Roadside Cliffs waypoint or west to the Emeral Grove Environs waypoint in the game. You will come across a Cragged Rock area where there will be a ladder for you to climb up. After which you can head forward keeping in mind the coordinates and you will come across another ladder. Use it to climb up and you will come across an area with a wooden post in BG3. Here players will have to pass a perception check to reveal the Rocky Crevice in the area.
After which you can interact with it, where you will find a secret pouch guarded by spiders inside of which there is the Spider Egg Sac in Baldur’s Gate 3. We would recommend having a companion with high Wisdom or Dexterity for checks before interacting with the crevice. After passing the intelligence check and surveying the spiders, playing will come across two choices in the game. Players can either use the Animal Handling skill to calm down the spiders or use Sleight Of Hand to snatch the pouch. It is worth keeping in mind if you choose to use Animal Handling and fail, you will have to go through a Dexterity check and use Sleight Of Hand to get the pouch. Although, players will have the option to try again if they fail in both of the options.
How to Use Spider Egg Sac in BG3
Players can use the Spider Egg Sac to spawn a bunch of Crag Spiders in Baldur’s Gate 3. Although to use the sac, players will first have to remove it from the pouch in their inventory. You will also find some valuable gold inside the pouch in the game. Here are the steps you can follow to do so:
- Open inventory by pressing I on your keyboard.
- Select the secret pouch and click on open.
- You will find some gold and the Spider Egg Sac inside.
- Drag the item out into your inventory.
- Select the sac and click on drop item.
- Once you have dropped it, you can use any attack to split it open.
- After which the Crag Spiders will spawn in the game.
While these spiders won’t deal much damage to your enemies or the creatures you come across in BG3. They will act as an added advantage to your party and give you the slight edge needed. It is worth keeping in mind that the Spider Egg Sac is a one-time use item and the spiders will despawn once you use Long Rest in Baldur’s Gate 3.
