About Soul Ash 

Soul Ash is an in-game currency that players can easily obtain while completing the weekly challenges for a tower in Torghast. There are some specific quests as well where you will get this useful currency in WoW: Shadowlands.

Uses Of Soul Ash in WoW: Shadowlands

Soul Ash is an essential item that you will need while crafting or upgrade legendary items in Shadowlands. The number of Soul Ash required to craft or upgrade Legendary items depends on the items. The higher the item level the more Soul Ash will be used.

How to Obtain Soul Ash In Shadowlands

There are various ways to obtain Soul Ash in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. But in this guide, we will be discussing three main ways to get Soul Ash:

  • Introduction Quest
  • Torghast
  • Missions

1. Introduction Quests

There are two wings that can be played in Torghast in a week. Each wing consist of 8 different layers but there are three layers that will be available at the beginning. Upon completing a layer for the first time in a week, you will get Soul Ash in Shadowlands.

There are multiple introductory quests in Torghast that can only be completed once per character, allowing you receive Ashes of Souls. Initially, you would find any quests in Torghast but you will be able to see them as you progress in Shadowlands. Once you are done completing all quests, you will be given 900 Soul Ash.

Here are all of the quests that reward Soul Ash:

  1. Explore Torghast – Rewards 200
  2. Remnants of Hope – Rewards 100
  3. Information for a Price – Rewards 50
  4. Torment Chamber: Jaina – Rewards 200
  5. Finding a Witness – Rewards 50
  6. Lest the Trail Go Cold – Rewards 50
  7. Torment Chamber: Thrall – Rewards 200
  8. Signs of the Lion – Rewards 50

2. Torghast Wings

There are total of six wings available in Torghast every week but only two wings can be played at the beginning. Each wing consists of eight different layers. When you complete a layer for the first time, you will be received Soul Ash as a reward.

Here are all of the quest and Soul Ash you will get for completing layers:

Once you have successfully completed all of the 8 layers, you will get a total of 1140 Soul Ash.

3. Missions

Unlike the previous two methods, this method to obtain Ash Souls in Shadowlands is a bit tricky. To get Ash Souls via missions, you will have to complete a couple of Campaign Story Missions, which require players to level up their companions.

Regardless of whether you are upgrading from rank 1 or creating a high legendary, you will have to shell out the same amount of Soul Ash in Shadowlands.
