To solve these animal math puzzle doors in Hogwarts Legacy all you have to do is simple addition and subtraction. But before doing that you’ll require the cheat sheet aka, a Cipher that reveals the numbers of the magical animals on the door frame. This Cipher is found in a Blue chest near the Library Annex, in Divination Classroom, which is situated in Floo Flames. However, finding the cheat sheet is optional and you can go ahead without it. For your reference, we have mentioned the name of the animals and the numbers they indicate below.

• Unicorn: 1
• Graphorn: 2
• Runespoor: 3
• Fwooper: 4
• Quintaped: 5
• Lizard: 6
• Squid-like Animal: 7
• Spider: 8
• Hydra: 9

As you can see every magical animal has a corresponding number beside them. It starts clockwise from 0 and ends at 9.

1. After you have decoded the animals, go ahead and interact with a puzzle door to initiate the math problem.
2. Once it does, you’ll have to find the answers for the circle with ? & ??.
3. That can be done by finding the animal, the question mark indicates.

   

4. And for that, add the number and the number indicated by the animal. In order to get the sum of the number mentioned inside the big circle.
   • For example, 7+ Hydra+ ?= 24. Here use the cipher to get the hydra number, i.e. 9. So it will be 7+9+?= 24.
5. Now all you have to do is, subtract the sum of an animal number and the given number with the number in the middle.
   • For example, 7+9 (Hydra)=16, so ahead and subtract 16 from 24, which will give you 8. The 8 number indicates Spider, and that’s your answer.
6. As there are two math problems, you will be required to solve them both.
7. And once you do, go ahead and roll the huge wall dice hidden around the Arithmancy door, to the animal you found after solving the math puzzle.
8. If you are having trouble finding the wall dice, then simply use the Revelio spell near the door and you’ll be good to go.
