How to Use Skyrim Duplication Glitch – Duplicate Any Item
To use the Skyrim Duplication glitch, you need to first get your hands on an item. This can be any item of your choice, and you need to make sure you have at least one unit of the said item.
Once you get your hands on the item of your choice, you will need to recruit a follower. In order to do so, you need to ask a housecarl. During the main quest in Whiterun, you will be assigned Lydia as a housecarl by Jarl Balgruuf. You can find Lydia at Dragonsreach.
Upon finding Lydia, you can recruit a few followers. These followers can be hired in the many inns strewn across the realm, and all you need is some gold to exchange for them.
Before you proceed any further with the steps in this guide, you need to confirm if your follower is fine with handling stolen items. If such an issue arises, the follower will not handle the stolen item. Since most followers do not tend to have an issue with stolen items, this should not be such a big problem.
Once you confirm that your follower does not mind, you need to look for a door with a loading screen. While you can choose your own home in the game, we recommend against doing so. This is because picking your own home might result in attracting the attention of unwanted elements. There are chances that certain NPCs might confront you, asking to keep the items you duplicate. Because of this, we recommend you pick an isolated corner that is close to a city gate in Skyrim.
Once you make your way to the said corner, you can drop the item of your choice onto the ground. After doing so, ask your follower or followers to pick the thrown items back up. Next, head out of the gates and then quickly back in again.
In doing so, the glitch will duplicate each item that was dropped and then subsequently picked up.
Also, when you do so, you need to remember that the glitch will only generate one copy of an item. This means that even if you drop 3 Hearts (for example), the glitch will only generate one duplicate. Also, we recommend against duplicating too many items in one attempt, as this might interrupt the functioning of Skyrim’s scripts.
