Hades II’s launch is getting closer, last year we got the update that 2024 Q2 is when the early access will start. But since the original game came out in 2020, it only makes sense fans are excited to try out the sequel. Supergiant Games have announced that their Technical test for Hades 2 will begin shortly and the good news is you have a chance to play it ahead of most players by signing up for the playtest. So here is everything about how you can sign up, the test’s duration, who can participate, and more!
How to Sign Up for Hades 2 Playtest
You simply have to Request Access on Steam to sign up for it.
- Launch Steam or go to its website on your PC or use its phone app. Sign in to your account if you haven’t already.
- Go to the Hades II steam page.
- Scroll down and below the Planned release date you can find the Join the Hades II Playtest section.
- Click on the green “Request Access” button.
That is all you have to do to sign up, if the developers are ready to accept participants, you will get an email notification from Steam about it.
Additionally, Content Creators can also request access to the game early via Keymailer. However, it again comes down to chance and the developers may not select every such request.
How Long will the Hades 2 Technical Test Last?
There is no definite duration on how long it will last. The developers estimate that it shouldn’t be longer than a week and, it should be shorter than a month. It all comes down to the number of bugs and problems testers end up encountering during their play session.
Fret not if you couldn’t get into the playtest, the Early access shouldn’t be far off. In the meantime, you can always replay the original. Check out our guides on how to unlock secret stashes or the best weapons tier list to get some help if you haven’t played in a while.
