Pokemon fans are in for a treat because, in Scarlet & Violet, you can get the Shiny Arcanine code. And this isn’t any ordinary Arcanine it is the one used by Paul Chua in the Europe International Championships (EUIC) held in April 2023. So here is everything you should know about it from its redemption process to the moves and tera type that the Pokemon will have.
How to Get Shiny Arcanine Code in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
To get the free Shiny Arcanine code, you have to watch the North America International Championships (NAIC) Livestream. You can watch it anytime between 30th June 2023, and 2nd July 2023.
After the stream starts, they should give out the codes shortly. So while the codes aren’t available just yet we will update this guide with them once they are out. You can watch the live stream on Twitch.tv/Pokemon the schedule for VGC is as follows:
- Friday (June 30) – 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Day 1: Swiss Rounds
- Saturday (July 1) – 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Day 2: Swiss Rounds (Top 8 and Top 4)
- Sunday (July 2) – 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM
- Finals
How to Redeem Shiny Arcanine Code in Pokemon SV
- Launch Pokemon Scarlet & Violet on your Nintendo Switch.
- Press X to open the game menu.
- Here, choose Poke Portal.
- Next, select the Mystery Gift option. It is the last one on the list.
- Now, click on the Get with Code/Password option.
- Enter the code you get from the Stream here.
- Wait for the game to verify your Code. If the code you entered was correct, that is it had no spelling mistakes. The game should show you the Shiny Arcanine.
- Click on it and a gift box animation will happen.
- Open this gift and you will get your Shiny Arcanine.
Make sure you redeem the code at most by July 3rd, 2023, 4:59 PM PDT. After that, the code will expire and you will miss out on the opportunity to claim it.

The Moves and Tera Type of this Arcanine are going to be the same as the one of Paul Chua’s Arcanine.
